Neuroendocrine Tumor Marker” refers to a blood test used to detect neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) in the body.
The most commonly tested marker is NSE (Neuron-Specific Enolase), an enzyme produced by certain nerve and neuroendocrine cells. Used to detect neuroendocrine tumors such as small cell lung cancer. NSE test evaluates neuroendocrine tumors. Useful for unexplained neurological or endocrine symptoms.
